“…Beerman weaves a comic and touching story and that is a lesson for those with aging parents – and those who are themselves aging.”

“It’s a really wonderfully written play with vivid interesting characters and a lovely narration that takes us through the story and explains the fascinating medical ‘miracle’ that allows this family to find out who they really are before it’s too late…”

"...utterly unique and unexpected on many levels. It forces thought, which is one of the very best things any show can do. You leave the theatre with an entirely altered vision of the world..."

"Sonnets is unique and profoundly impactful for a number of reasons. Los Angeles playwright Brent Beerman has revolutionized this text (The Old Testament) making it creative, inclusive, and far-reaching for our society and times. The work does strike a significant and unique chord for feminism, particularly aimed at young women, helping them realize that they can love no one prior to loving themselves."

"22% Fear is an inspired labor of love written and directed by Brent Beerman, a play based on actual bullying experiences from students at CV.
22% is the percentage of students going to school in fear according to a survey taken by the faculty.
At the premiere Thursday night, my reactions went from horror to hope as these bullying stories unfolded one after another performed in monologue, poetry, dance and music. Tales of an abused girlfriend, a homeless kid, a girl who hides, and a gay boy harassed were hard to hear. It was even harder to believe this could happen at this revered high school."
